What is Bitcoin Cash (BCH)? Bitcoin Cash is a fork of Bitcoin Core which was introduced in August 2017. Bitcoin Cash is a good demonstration of the openness of the cryptocurrency industry: when a faction of a community disagrees, they are able to use this technology to “fork” a chain to create their own preferred token. A goal of Bitcoin Cash is to create a cheaper and quicker way to send value than Bitcoin. To do this, BCH increased the block size of Bitcoin Core, allowing for more transactions to fit within each block, which creates for quicker and cheaper transactions.
