It’s been a month since we launched and we are very grateful for your ongoing support and all the enthusiasm for our community burn model! We mentioned that our first community burn would take place exactly one month after our launch, and today is the day!
We have made some revisions to our monthly burn schedule going forward due to accounting and audit processes. The transaction fees collected in one calendar month will be used to burn tokens at the end of the following month. For example, the current burn that was conducted today was from the fees of the month of June. Going forward, the fees collected in the month of July will be used to burn by the end of August, etc. Each month, we will announce a specific date for our community burn once the accounting and auditing process has been completed.
To be clear, we’re still devoting 100% of our trading fees to burn OMG for the first 3 months. The only thing that has changed is the schedule of burns due to accounting and audit processes.
So what about the first community burn? For the month of June (June 25th to June 30th), we burned 373.383803080000000000 OMG.
We sent the burnt OMG to the ethereum address 0x0000000000000000000000000000000000000000. The transaction ID is https://etherscan.io/tx/0x33c710b5f9a69b7108dc78fd2f8b091809dbb27278f699fbeaaff387d760a188. Note that you can see other transactions to this address because it is very commonly used to burn tokens.
Thank you for helping us grow our fire by trading and referring your friends.
Let’s burn more tokens!
