The U.S. regulatory landscape has dramatically changed since 2017. Along with our efforts on being compliant, it became more and more difficult to satisfy the regulatory requirements with our U.S. entity from a compliance and auditing perspective. Moving forward, we’ve made this difficult decision:
We will cease all services for U.S. customers.
From November 25th, 2019, U.S. persons will no longer be able to create new accounts on GO.Exchange. For existing U.S. customers, we will close your account on December 16th, 2019. You will have until that date to withdraw all your assets on GO.Exchange.
Given this news, to understand if you are affected by this change, we define a U.S. customer as:
- any U.S. citizen, whether the individual resides in the USA or abroad.
- any individual that resides in the USA, including non U.S. citizens. (i.e. green card holders, individual designated resident for U.S. tax purposes.)
Please note that the USA includes all U.S. territories (Guam, Northern Mariana, Puerto Rico, Samoa, and the U.S. Virgin Islands).
If you are not a U.S. customer as per our definition, you can disregard this email. You don’t need to do anything at this time.
We apologize for the inconvenience this may cause, and we appreciate your understanding in this matter. We believe this is the best path forward to add value to GO.Exchange and our users. If you need additional support through these processes, you can contact [email protected].
